Incorporating Music In Historical Writing

Music is universal. No matter where I may be, a melody can be shared without boundaries. It may be a particular instrument, song, or note played, but music dominates our world.

Music invokes emotion and takes me to another place or memory I have. It can transcend anywhere and anytime, creating a reaction that allows the reader to see beyond reality.

Music is placed in my historical writing using influential rhythms, beats, and lyrics to create a cultural experience. It can affect a character, create a scene, or set a mood. Music also allows my readers to be put in a specific time and place when following the storyline.

Music is a universal tool that inspires and enhances the creative elements of my historical story.
