92 Years Ago – September 20, 1932: in September 1932, a Canadian Jewish Journalist, from a poverty stricken background, that very few heard of, became the first western journalist to expose the forced starvation in Ukraine, known as the Holodomor.
She was a foreign journalist in the USSR, expelled by decree from the Politburo for defaming and discrediting the USSR on September 17, 1932.
By September 20, 1932 the west received the news through coverage in newspapers and information about mass starvation in Ukraine expanded to a wider audience in North America.
