Operation Barbarossa

Part of my historical writing emphasizes Operation Barbarossa (June 1941 to December 1941)

During World War II, Germany invaded the Red Army of Russia. It started in June of 1941 and ended in December 1941. It was the largest land offensive in history. Adolf Hitler, the Nazi leader, envisioned a successful war campaign. Initially, the plans were successful, but as the war continued, Hitler realized that the savage campaign was waning. A failure of strategies and the harsh winter conditions contributed to the weakening of German forces. The Soviet resistance also proved a challenge against the Nazi regime.

There are many resources including libraries, museums and web searches that facilitate my research.
